Lee Kerniskey

Lee Kerniskey is the Anti-Violence Engagement Coordinator at the Nebraska Alliance of Child Advocacy Centers, where he supports statewide initiatives focused on child and youth trafficking, family violence, and strengthening coordinated responses for children, youth, and families impacted by violence. He works with Child Advocacy Centers and partner agencies across child welfare, law enforcement, juvenile justice, probation, victim services, and other community systems to strengthen collaboration, support trauma-responsive practices, and identify opportunities to improve services and outcomes.

Lee brings more than two decades of experience in law enforcement, military service, investigations, leadership, and public service. During his career with the Omaha Police Department, he served as a police sergeant, supervising personnel in investigative, patrol, and community-focused assignments. His work included complex investigations, victim-centered problem solving, interagency collaboration, and crisis response.

Prior to joining the Nebraska Alliance, Lee served as a Child and Family Services Specialist with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, working with children and families involved in the child welfare system. His professional background gives him a practical, cross-system perspective on the ways law enforcement, child welfare, victim services, and community organizations can work together to better protect and support children and families.
